Mazara del Vallo to host Santa Rosalia in Fest celebrations

Mazara del Vallo will host the inaugural “Santa Rosalia in Fest” from September 2 to September 6. The event, organized by the Santa Rosalia parish under the coordination of priest Don Antonio Civello, honors the town's co-patron saint through a combination of religious services and public entertainment.

Scheduled performances at Piazza Rosso di San Secondo include a concert by the Vocal Academy on September 3, followed by comedy from Massimo Spata. On September 4, Sicilian tenor Maurizio Indelicato will perform, alongside acts from Sicilia Cabaret. The festivities continue on September 5 with a musical titled “Una Rosa senza spine,” dedicated to Santa Rosalia, which will also include a tribute to the late entrepreneur Gioacchino Mangogna.

The religious climax will occur on Sunday, September 6. Bishop Monsignor Angelo Giurdanella will preside over a solemn Eucharistic celebration at 5:30 PM, followed by a procession of the saint's image through the streets of the parish starting at 6:30 PM. A street food area will be available during the evening events.
