Mazara del Vallo to host Trofeo Lega Navale Challenge sailing regatta

The Trofeo Lega Navale Challenge sailing regatta is scheduled to take place in Mazara del Vallo over the upcoming weekend. Organized by the local section of the Lega Navale Italiana, the event will feature up to twenty high-seas and monotype sailing vessels.

The competition is set for Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 to 18:00, and Sunday, September 13, from 09:00 to 17:00. The race course will be established in the waters off Lungomare San Vito, marked by yellow and red buoys.

To ensure safety, the Captain of the Port of Mazara del Vallo has issued a maritime ordinance. Vessels near the race area must maintain reduced speeds and follow international collision prevention regulations. Commercial ships entering the port are required to use the eastern entrance sector during the event. Additionally, participating boats must use motors when entering or exiting the port, unless they lack an auxiliary engine.
