Mazatlán and Sonora implement infrastructure and social service initiatives
In Mazatlán, the municipal government and Jumapam have launched a rehabilitation project for the sewerage network in the Infonavit Jabalíes sector. The work, located on Andador Cruz Lizárraga, involves installing 150 linear meters of 8-inch diameter pipe and 42 domestic discharges to replace infrastructure that is over 40 years old. This emergency project aims to prevent sewage collapses and spills, improving urban infrastructure and public health for local families.
Separately, the Government of Sonora is deploying the 'Sonora Atiende' program to the municipalities of Mazatán and El Tazajal. This initiative brings more than 30 state and federal agencies directly to local communities, allowing residents to complete administrative procedures and access social programs without traveling to other cities. The program aims to reduce economic costs for families by providing direct assistance to seniors, youth, and parents in public plazas.
