Mazatlán cruise tourism grows with arrival of Navigator Of The Seas

The cruise ship Navigator Of The Seas arrived in Mazatlán this Monday, carrying 3,635 passengers and 1,260 crew members. The vessel traveled from Los Cabos and is scheduled to depart for Puerto Vallarta later this afternoon.

This arrival marks the fourth cruise ship to visit the port in August, bringing the monthly total to 16,140 cruise passengers and an estimated economic impact of 25 million pesos. The tourism calendar for August includes a total of seven scheduled cruises, which are expected to bring over 30,000 tourists and generate a global economic benefit exceeding 48 million pesos for the municipality.

Mireya Sosa Osuna, the Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, noted that the continuous flow of vessels provides direct benefits to the local economy, specifically boosting public transportation sectors such as taxis and tourist buses, as well as restaurants in the Golden Zone, Historic Center, and Malecón.
