Mazatlán municipal government launches 100% ISAI tax waiver and flood relief measures

The Mazatlán municipal government announced a program that cancels 100% of fines and interest on the Property Acquisition Tax (ISAI) for payments made before 20 August. The initiative aims to help taxpayers settle outstanding balances, reduce financial burdens on families and support municipal services.

Following intense rains that dropped up to 161 mm in the city, Governor Yeraldine Bonilla Valverde ordered emergency agencies to prioritize assistance for affected residents. Protection Civil and National Security teams, together with municipal and state authorities, inspected 23 neighborhoods, identifying about 35 homes with damage. A temporary shelter was opened at the Institute Cultural of the West, and efforts are underway to clear blocked waterways and provide aid to families.
