Mazatlán reports 84% hotel occupancy during summer season

Mazatlán has recorded an average hotel occupancy rate of 84% during the summer season between July and August. The city has welcomed over 770,000 visitors, generating an economic impact exceeding 3.7 billion pesos.

Occupancy rates reached as high as 91% during recent weekends, with some establishments in the Golden Zone, Malecón, and Cerritos reporting 100% occupancy from Friday to Sunday. Key attractions driving visitor numbers include the Gran Acuario Mazatlán Mar de Cortés, the Faro, and the 1873 Observatory.

Across the state of Sinaloa, the summer period has seen more than 915,000 visitors and an economic influx of over 3.9 billion pesos. The tourism surge is part of the ‘Sinaloa, el verano que lo tiene todo’ campaign, which promotes various regional destinations including magic towns and nature sites.
