Mazatlán unveils new boutique hotel project and local bazaar to spur tourism and entrepreneurship
The Mazatlán municipal government hosted the "Sabe a Mazatlán" bazaar in Parque Central, where over 71 local entrepreneurs displayed foods, crafts, beauty items and décor. The family‑friendly event featured live music by the group Carlitos CRC and a dance show by Danzabel, aiming to promote local consumption and strengthen the city's small‑business sector.
Separately, Mazatlán announced the Bonanza boutique hotel, a 40‑room property to be situated beside the cathedral and opposite the municipal palace. State tourism secretary Mireya Sosa Osuna said the project reflects strong private‑sector confidence in the city’s tourism market. The hotel will offer accommodation, gastronomy, wellness and health‑tourism services, joining 13 other hotels under construction that will add roughly 2,487 rooms to the region’s capacity.
Both initiatives underline Mazatlán’s strategy to diversify its tourist offerings, support local entrepreneurs and attract higher‑value visitors.
