Mazatlán welcomes Carnival Panorama cruise ship
The port of Mazatlán welcomed the cruise ship ‘Carnival Panorama’ this Wednesday, arriving from La Paz, Baja California Sur. The vessel carries 4,531 passengers and 1,419 crew members.
The visit is expected to generate an estimated economic impact of approximately 7.2 million pesos, benefiting local sectors including transportation, gastronomy, commerce, and tourism services. Visitors explored the Historic Center, the Malecón, and Olas Altas, with some traveling to nearby rural communities to experience local traditions and cuisine.
Mireya Sosa Osuna, the Secretary of Tourism for Sinaloa, stated that this is the fifth cruise to arrive in Mazatlán this August, with seven cruises expected in total for the month. So far in 2026, the port has received 87 vessels, hosting over 324,000 cruise passengers and generating an economic impact exceeding 519 million pesos.
