Mazda CX-90 launches in Vietnam with hybrid pricing from 1.9 trillion dong

Mazda introduced the CX-90 SUV to the Vietnamese market through Thaco, offering three versions: a 3.3 L Turbo HEV 7‑seat at 1.899 trillion dong, a 6‑seat HEV at 1.949 trillion dong, and a 2.5 L PHEV 7‑seat at 2.299 trillion dong. All models feature all‑wheel drive, an eight‑speed automatic, Nappa‑leather seats, digital instrument cluster, HUD, 360° camera, and a suite of driver‑assist technologies such as lane‑keep and adaptive cruise control.

The CX-90 sits between mainstream hybrid SUVs (e.g., Kia Sorento HEV, Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid) and premium electric‑luxury models (e.g., Lexus NX 350h, BMW X5 xDrive50e). Its pricing undercuts most luxury plug‑in hybrids while offering larger dimensions and more upscale interior finishes, aiming to fill a market gap for affluent buyers who are not yet ready to spend four to five trillion dong on European‑brand SUVs.
