Mazda joins World Design Capital 2026 as official Mobility Partner

Mazda participated as the official Mobility Partner for the World Design Capital 2026 (WDC 2026) through the ‘Mazda Craft Journeys x WDC’ initiative. The program was held during Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain, an event celebrating Frankfurt RheinMain’s designation as the World Design Capital.

As part of the initiative, Mazda’s European Design Center in Oberursel, Germany, opened its doors to the public. The center showcased the evolution of Mazda’s design process, from initial concepts to physical forms, highlighting the brand’s ‘Kodo-Soul of Motion’ philosophy. Jo Stenuit, Director of Mazda Design Europe, led discussions regarding the principles of the brand’s design approach, emphasizing mobility as a discipline that interacts with architecture, craftsmanship, and daily life.
