Mazda updates SUV lineup with new CX-5 and CX-3 insights

Mazda is updating its SUV lineup with a new generation of the CX-5 and ongoing market presence for the CX-3.

The new CX-5 features a larger silhouette, measuring 4.69 meters in length with an increased wheelbase of 2.80 meters to improve interior space and cargo capacity, which reaches up to 583 liters. Deviating from the industry trend of small turbocharged engines, Mazda has equipped the CX-5 with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 141 horsepower, supported by 24V mild hybridization.

Regarding the CX-3, the compact SUV remains a notable model in the used car market. Based on the Mazda2 platform, the CX-3 has shown strong reliability in TÜV inspections, though experts note potential issues with brake disc wear and front lighting. The vehicle offers a 350-liter trunk and a refined interior, particularly in models following the 2018 facelift.
