Prosecutors have recommended lifting telephone privacy for six mobile devices, a hard drive, and a USB, covering the period from July 11 to September 10, 2026. These digital devices belong to Mazonakis, the two accused doctors, two secretaries, and a nurse.

New testimonies from clinic employees have emerged. A 53-year-old nurse described a scene of panic, noting that the doctor told staff, ‘We are all jointly responsible,’ and observed that neither doctor accompanied Mazonakis in the ambulance. Another witness, a 61-year-old retired nurse, clarified her testimony regarding her departure time from the clinic. Additionally, a secretary’s message surfaced, suggesting Mazonakis may have suffered a reaction to an intoxicant.

Legal representation for the accused has shifted. Lawyers Nikos and Tellos Agapinos have resigned from representing Ioanna Gaka due to differing defense positions, continuing only to represent her husband, Ilias Theodoropoulos. Gaka is now represented by Nikos Alexandris. The investigation continues to focus on whether a sedative or suppression substance was administered prior to the plasmapheresis procedure.
