Mazovia authorities warn of large wild animal sightings near Warsaw

Authorities in northern Mazovia have issued warnings following sightings of a large wild animal resembling a puma moving through local forests. The animal was first spotted on August 10 near Gołymin-Ośrodek in the Ciechanów district. Since then, sightings and evidence, including large cat paw prints and video footage, have been reported in the Zatory and Wyszków municipalities.

The animal's path appears to be moving toward Warsaw. Local officials in Zatory and Wyszków have advised residents to remain calm but to exercise caution. They recommend that if the animal is spotted, individuals should not approach, track, photograph, or attempt to scare it, but should instead move quietly to a safe location.
