Mazovian Self-government awards best regional museums

The Mazovian Voivodeship Self-government has concluded the 20th edition of the ‘Mazowieckie Zdarzenia Muzealne – Wierzba’ competition, which recognizes the best museum events in the Mazovia region.

Awards were presented by Marshal Adam Struzik and Vice-Marshal Wiesław Raboszuk in several categories, including exhibitions organized by large and small museums, exhibition catalogs, educational projects, scientific-educational publications, and an open category. The jury evaluated entries based on substantive, cultural, aesthetic, and educational merits, as well as their ability to integrate local communities and promote regional culture.

A special Grand Prix for the 20th anniversary was awarded to institutions with the highest number of awards and distinctions over the previous 19 editions. Recipients of financial awards and statuettes included the Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom, the Museum of Warsaw, the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, and the National Museum in Warsaw.
