Polish regional councils grant votes of confidence and absolutions for 2025 budgets

Local government bodies across Poland approved votes of confidence and absolutions for the execution of 2025 budgets.

In the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship, the Budget and Finance Committee endorsed the regional report, noting revenues of about 1.25 billion zł and expenses of 1.20 billion zł, resulting in a surplus of ≈ 48 million zł.

The Mazovian regional assembly voted 31‑16 for a confidence motion and 31‑15 for an absolution, highlighting 1.9 billion zł in investments and over 601 million zł directed to local municipalities and NGOs.

Łódź voivodeship’s sejmik gave a confidence vote (18‑12) and absolution (18‑11). Revenues reached ≈ 1.96 billion zł, expenses ≈ 2.10 billion zł, with a realized deficit of just over 60 million zł. The report cited new health, transport and SME‑support programmes.

Tatra County’s council unanimously approved both a confidence motion and an absolution after presenting its 2025 annual report.

Poznań’s mayor, Jacek Jaśkowiak, received a confidence vote and absolution, pointing to major infrastructure projects such as new bridges, tramway works and school construction, and noting the city’s debt ratio fell from 58 % to 30 % of revenue.

Other local bodies, including the Gmina Radwanice wójt, also received absolute and confidence votes during their respective sessions.
