Mazūriškės kindergarten nears completion with €8.9 million investment

A new kindergarten in Mazūriškės, Klaipėda district, is nearing completion and is expected to open within a few weeks. The facility features eight new groups designed to meet modern developmental needs, including an assembly hall, sports facilities, and a specialized sensory room to assist with child focus and sensory development.

The project also includes outdoor amenities such as a modern playground, walking paths, and gazebos. To support the new institution, local authorities are simultaneously improving transport infrastructure on Juodžemio, Agilos, Jurgaičių, and Šilelių streets to ensure smoother commutes for parents.

The total project value is approximately €8.91 million. This includes €7.57 million from European Union funds and €1.34 million from the municipal budget. Klaipėda district Mayor Bronius Markauskas and Vice-Mayor Violeta Riaukienė noted that the project directly addresses the needs of young families in the region.
