MBC drama “The Perfect Lie” to premiere October 30

The MBC psychological thriller “The Perfect Lie” is scheduled to premiere on October 30. The 12-episode series stars Yoo Yeon Seok as Min Joon Ho, a cardiac surgeon and single father, and Seo Hyun Jin as Kang Ji Sun, an elementary school teacher and librarian.

The plot centers on a mysterious incident where the two protagonists hold completely contradictory memories of the same event, suggesting one of them is lying. The story follows how their lives unravel after an initial meeting that appears perfect but leads to intense emotional shifts and a battle over the truth.

The series is directed by Jo Young Min and marks a reunion for the lead actors, who previously worked together on the 2016 drama “Dr. Romantic”.
