MBC Group and CJ ENM partner to expand K-content in MENA

MBC Group and South Korea’s CJ ENM have entered into a long-term strategic partnership to expand the reach of Korean entertainment across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

A central component of the agreement is the launch of a dedicated TVing branded space on the MBC Shahid streaming service. This space will offer curated premium K-content from CJ ENM, TVing, and other South Korean production studios. The partnership includes the release of approximately 13 new TVing titles and over 20 titles from the CJ ENM library, with the volume of content expected to grow over the multi-year deal.

To increase accessibility, selected content will feature Arabic dubbing and subtitles. Furthermore, new titles will be available for simulcast on the MBC Shahid app, allowing MENA audiences to watch series simultaneously with their release in South Korea. The deal also extends to linear television, with CJ ENM titles scheduled for exclusive periods on the MBC4 channel.
