MBDA establishes new industrial hub in Campania, Italy

MBDA Italia has launched the ‘Polo campano’, a new industrial hub in the Campania region that integrates its sites in Fusaro (Bacoli) and Pomigliano d’Arco. The initiative aims to increase production volumes and support national security and technological autonomy for Italy and its allies.

Over the next five years, the company expects its workforce at these two sites to grow from approximately 800 to about 1,000 employees. The new facility in Pomigliano d’Arco will focus on three primary areas: weapon systems, ceramic processing for missile radomes, and mechanical production.

The Fusaro site will complement these activities by focusing on high-level research, design, and development, specifically in seeker technology and radio frequencies. This expansion is expected to benefit local high-tech supply chains and create indirect qualified employment within the region.
