MBRF Pet expands into US market and invests in Paraguay operations
MBRF Pet has initiated exports to the United States as part of an internationalization strategy to reach 26 markets by 2027. The company aims to compete in the high-demand North American pet food segment, particularly within the cat product category.
To support this global expansion, the company invested R$13.6 million to expand its facility in Doctor Juan León Mallorquín, Paraguay. This investment increased the plant's storage capacity by 165%, establishing the site as an export hub for Latin American markets including Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, and Uruguay.
Additionally, PremieRpet has partnered with Onçafari to fund a 12-month scientific research project focused on the conservation of the maned wolf in Brazil. The R$150,000 investment will support studies on the species' movement patterns, habitat use, and the presence of parasites like Giardia to aid in the protection of this vulnerable wild dog species.
