MC Joãozinho VT releases first acoustic funk project

Brazilian artist MC Joãozinho VT has released his first acoustic project, titled “JOÃOZINHO NA PISTA (ACÚSTICO AO VIVO)”. The 15-track album was recorded live at a skate park to bridge the connection between funk music and urban skate culture.

Distributed by ONErpm, the project features live band arrangements, a choir, and organic instruments. The repertoire includes new versions of existing hits such as “Banco do Carona”, “Fé na Maluca”, and “Liga e Me Chama”, alongside collaborations with various funk artists including MC Hariel, MC Don Juan, MC Ryan SP, and MC Marks.

The release follows the artist's recent involvement in the track “Relíquia do 2T”, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Urban Song category.
