MC Mong apologizes to Kim Min-jong following defamation dispute

Singer and producer MC Mong has issued a public apology to actor and singer Kim Min-jong following a legal dispute. During a live broadcast on December 5, MC Mong stated that mentioning Kim Min-jong was a mistake and expressed regret over previous allegations.

The conflict began in May when MC Mong alleged that Kim Min-jong was involved in illegal gambling and bribery. Kim Min-jong denied these claims, asserting they were false and damaging to his 38-year career. This led Kim to file a complaint for defamation at the Jongno Police Station on December 2, citing significant professional damages, including the suspension of discussions for a Hollywood project and advertising contracts.

Although MC Mong initially dismissed the lawsuit, he later revealed that he met with Kim Min-jong in person to resolve the misunderstanding. MC Mong noted that Kim was welcoming during their meeting, signaling a potential end to the legal tension.
