MC Mong donates semester tuition to student at Kyonggi University

Singer MC Mong (Shin Dong-hyun) donated a semester’s worth of tuition in cash to a student during a performance at Kyonggi University on September 11.

During the university festival, MC Mong selected a student who had shown exceptional enthusiasm during his set. Upon learning the student was working three part-time jobs, the singer presented a stack of cash. MC Mong noted that the funds were part of the performance fee he had received from the university, stating, “This money I received from your school anyway... I just want to give it to someone who stood out.”

The gesture was the fulfillment of a prior pledge made during a TikTok Live broadcast, where he promised to select one student to receive tuition assistance. The singer performed a medley of hits, including “Circus” and “Ice Cream,” as part of his recent musical activities following the release of his tenth studio album.
