McCormick & Company reports rising sales despite lower demand
McCormick & Company, Incorporated reported third-quarter financial results for the period ending August 31, 2026, characterized by increased net sales and expanded profit margins despite challenges in consumer demand.
Net sales rose 17.4% during the quarter, supported by a 2.2% increase in prices. However, organic volumes saw a slight decline of 0.3%, with the Consumer Americas division experiencing a 2.5% drop in volume. The company attributed softer traffic in foodservice and grocery channels to elevated gas prices and a cyclospora outbreak, a foodborne parasite that has impacted fast-food restaurants.
Despite these headwinds and rising input and freight costs, McCormick reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook for net sales, adjusted operating income, and adjusted earnings per share. The company also noted it remains on track with integration planning for its proposed combination with Unilever Foods.
