McDonald Jones Stadium to host free live site for NRL Grand Final

NRL Grand Final Newcastle Knights McDonald Jones Stadium rugby league live site

McDonald Jones Stadium will serve as a free live site for Newcastle Knights fans to watch the 2026 NRL Grand Final against the Sydney Roosters. The decision follows extraordinary demand for tickets at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

Gates at the Broadmeadow stadium are scheduled to open at 3:30 pm on Sunday, October 4, featuring a live broadcast of the NRLW grand final between the Roosters and Broncos on big screens before the main event. Fans can watch from the grandstands or on the field of play with picnic rugs. While entry is free, supporters must secure a ticket through Ticketmaster.

In addition to the primary site at McDonald Jones Stadium, Maitland Regional Sportsground will also be open to air the game for those unable to travel. The Knights are appearing in their first NRL decider in 25 years following a preliminary final victory over Penrith.
