McDonald's announces One Piece and SpongeBob SquarePants crossover

McDonald's has announced a major crossover collaboration between the One Piece anime and SpongeBob SquarePants. The promotion is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026, starting in the United States and rolling out across more than 66 countries and regions worldwide.

Developed in partnership with Toei Animation and Nickelodeon, the campaign features a Happy Meal set containing 13 collectible figures. The toys reimagine SpongeBob characters as One Piece figures, including SpongeBob as Luffy, Patrick as Roronoa Zoro, Mrs. Puff as Big Mom, and Mermaid Man as Monkey D. Garp.
