McDonald's employees host viral wedding at Akron restaurant

A McDonald's restaurant in Akron, Ohio, served as the wedding venue for co-workers Jamie Callicoat, a restaurant manager, and George Callicoat, a crew trainer. The ceremony, held on August 8, took place in front of family, friends, colleagues, and several customers.

While the dining room was temporarily closed to the public for the event, the drive-thru and indoor ordering kiosks remained operational. Jamie Callicoat noted that she even handed extra sauces to a customer while wearing her wedding dress. The couple incorporated various McDonald's elements into the celebration, including Happy Meal boxes used as flower baskets and a red and yellow balloon arch.

The wedding has gained significant viral attention online, with video content generating tens of millions of impressions across social media platforms. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds reportedly assisted their colleagues with cleaning the restaurant before returning to their regular work shifts.
