McDonald's Indonesia supports local suppliers after 35 years

McDonald's Indonesia is highlighting its 35-year commitment to supporting local suppliers. The fast-food chain allocates approximately 86% of its total supplier budget to local partners. Notably, 100% of its primary chicken supply is sourced from domestic farmers, who deliver fresh products daily to more than 300 outlets.

This partnership facilitates what Prof. Mochammad Mukti Ali of IPB University describes as ‘supplier upgrading.’ By working with a global brand, local businesses gain access to international standards, regular audits, and specialized knowledge, helping them improve their operational quality and scale.
