McDonald's Japan launches new CM featuring Seishiro Kato and LUNA CHEE

McDonald's Japan has released a new television commercial titled “Chee Chee: Everyone is LUNA CHEE,” featuring actor Seishiro Kato as the lead vocalist of the LUNA CHEE copy band. The band, which is officially recognized by the legendary visual kei rock group LUNA SEA, performs a parody version of the song “ROSIER” to promote new menu items.

The production features a large-scale performance with 100 musicians across 19 bands, all styled in homage to LUNA SEA. The commercial also includes a surprise appearance by LUNA SEA bassist J, who visited the set to encourage the performers.

To coincide with the campaign, McDonald's will offer a three-week limited menu starting November 4. The lineup includes the “Chee Chee Double Cheeseburger,” the “Chee Chee Teriyaki Mac,” and the new “Chee Chee Teriyaki Chicken Juicy Mac.”
