McDonald's opens first restaurant in Junín, Argentina
McDonald's has officially opened its first restaurant in Junín, Argentina. Located within the city's new bus terminal, the establishment marks the brand's 234th location in the country.
The expansion was managed by Arcos Dorados, the master franchisee for the brand in Latin America and the Caribbean. The opening has created approximately 80 to 85 new jobs, many of which are the first formal employment opportunities for local youth.
According to Diego Paniagua, General Director of Arcos Dorados in Argentina, the location was selected due to high local demand and its strategic position near the new bus terminal and the upcoming Aló shopping center. The company noted that the site meets specific criteria regarding vehicular flow, demographic profiles, and urban accessibility.
