McDonald's restaurants in Rome launch refugee employment project
The “Oltre le Frontiere” (Beyond Borders) project has launched in Rome to facilitate the professional integration of young refugees into the workforce. The initiative focuses on providing training and employment opportunities within McDonald's restaurants managed by MDC Fast Food Srl.
The program is a collaborative effort involving the P&G Alumni Italia Foundation, Seniores Italia Lazio ODV, and the Comunità di Sant’Egidio. Participants undergo a two-level training process consisting of theoretical instruction provided by volunteers and practical vocational training to prepare them for specific roles.
In addition to job placement, the project includes support for learning the Italian language to assist participants in both their professional duties and daily lives. The initiative aims to foster autonomy for young refugees through structured employment and social inclusion.
