McKesson to acquire Precision Medicine Group for US$2.25 billion

Healthcare services provider McKesson has agreed to acquire Precision Medicine Group for US$2.25 billion. The deal is intended to expand McKesson’s clinical research and biopharmaceutical commercialization capabilities, specifically strengthening its oncology and multi-specialty strategy.

Precision Medicine Group provides a range of services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including biomarker intelligence, laboratory services, global clinical research organization capabilities, and market access consulting. Following the completion of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Precision Medicine Group will be integrated into McKesson’s oncology and multi-specialty segment.
