McKinsey appoints Yassir Zouaoui to lead Morocco and Francophone Africa

McKinsey & Company has appointed Yassir Zouaoui as the new Managing Partner for its operations in Morocco and Francophone Africa. Zouaoui succeeds Mehdi Lahrichi, who led the office from 2021 to 2026.

Zouaoui brings 20 years of experience within the firm, having previously served in Dubai for nearly a decade in regional and international roles, including leading the global Economic Development competence center.

The firm has maintained a permanent presence in Casablanca since 2004. Currently, approximately 90% of its activity in Morocco is focused on the private sector. The appointment comes as the Moroccan office continues to expand, recently adding new partners such as Oumaima Ayad and Selma El Manser.
