McLaren Minerals completes major WA titanium drilling campaign

McLaren Minerals Limited announced the completion of its 2026 drilling programme at the McLaren titanium project in Western Australia's Eucla Basin, about 150 km east of Norseman near Esperance. The campaign drilled 663 holes totalling 11,568 m, achieving 100 % of planned collars. Work included 9,534 m of resource‑infill drilling, step‑out holes to test southwest and southeast extensions, and 153 m targeting an Eastern Shoreline palaeo‑shoreline.

Assays returned heavy‑mineral grades up to 34.6 % HM, with notable intervals such as 22 m at 7.62 % and 24 m at 8.01 % HM, confirming continuity of mineralised zones and supporting an upgrade of the existing 529 Mt JORC‑compliant resource. Managing Director Simon Finnis said, "The infill drilling is necessary to increase confidence in the deposit and will lead to an updated resource and a maiden mining reserve." The results will feed a JORC‑compliant resource update, metallurgical testing and a bankable feasibility study, underscoring titanium's importance as a critical mineral for aerospace, defence and energy technologies.
