McLaren Minerals reports high-grade titanium assays in Western Australia

McLaren Minerals has reported its highest-grade heavy mineral (HM) assays to date from its flagship titanium project located in the Eucla Basin of Western Australia. The latest drilling program, consisting of 74 holes covering 1,199 meters of sampling, returned a length-weighted average of 5.44% HM over an average thickness of 16.2 meters from the surface.

These results represent an increase from the previous average of 4.96% HM. Notable intercepts include an 18-meter section grading 8.06% HM and a 21-meter section grading 7.61% HM. Managing director Simon Finnis described the results as ‘quite remarkable.’

The drilling initiative aims to increase confidence in the project’s existing 529-million-tonne resource. Data shows that 89% of the holes averaged at least 4% HM, while 32% of the holes returned grades at or above 6% HM.
