McLaren Racing reports record revenue but annual loss

McLaren Racing reported record revenues of £588.5 million for 2025, driven by increased commercial activity and a successful racing season in which Lando Norris won the drivers' championship and the team secured the constructors' title. Despite the 20 percent increase in turnover, the team recorded a loss of £42.8 million, a significant decline from the £48.5 million profit reported in 2024.

The financial downturn is attributed to rising costs of sales, which reached £534.3 million, and the repayment of loans taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Financial filings also revealed a substantial increase in compensation for the team's CEO, believed to be Zak Brown. His base salary rose to £8.215 million from £6.126 million the previous year, while long-term incentive payments increased to £73.682 million, up from £31.077 million in 2024.
