McLaren's Piastri and Norris comment on Barcelona GP pace

Oscar Piastri said he has no answer for the large speed deficit his car showed compared with teammate Lando Norris at the Barcelona Grand Prix, noting problems with grip and tyre wear that left him about 34 seconds slower. He added that Ferrari appeared to have made a big step forward over the weekend, while his own car lacked the final tenth or two of performance needed.

Lando Norris praised McLaren's return to form after a disappointing Monaco weekend, highlighting small aerodynamic upgrades that helped the team recover. However, he cautioned that the car was still not perfect, finishing fourth in qualifying about 0.35 seconds off pole and lacking sufficient grip and rear‑ tyre performance to challenge for victory.
