MDA Space announces MDA CHORUS Earth observation service

MDA Space has announced the product portfolio for its Earth observation (EO) service, ‘MDA CHORUS’. The service suite includes ‘MDA CHORUS COMMAND’ for observation planning, ‘COMMAND PRO’ for near real-time data reception and processing via regional ground stations, and ‘MDA CHORUS INTELLIGENCE’ for geospatial analysis using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery.

The MDA CHORUS constellation will consist of three satellites: two new satellites (one X-band and one C-band) and the existing RADARSAT-2. This configuration aims to provide all-weather imaging and high-frequency revisit capabilities. The company recently opened a dedicated control center in preparation for the constellation launch scheduled for later this year.

As Canada’s largest space technology company, MDA Space has also seen strategic growth through recent acquisitions, positioning it to meet increasing defense and strategic demands in the United States and Europe.
