Médio Tejo wine tourism draws 230 participants to enotourism events

The Tejo Wine Route will host eight enotourism programmes in August and September, featuring three scheduled events at Adega do Cartaxo (September 7, 9 and 11) with prices ranging from €15 to €45 and a boat cruise on the Tagus River. Casa Paciência in Alpiarça also offers daily harvest experiences from August 15 to September 28, with options priced between €25 and €50 and activities such as grape picking, wine tasting and a children‑friendly programme.

Meanwhile, the second edition of the “Quintas do Médio Tejo: Visit, Taste and Lounge” cycle, organized by the CIM Médio Tejo and partners, welcomed 230 participants between May and July. Six vineyards – including AgroWine, Quinta Casal das Freiras, Adega da Gaveta, Adega Fonte Fundeira, Adega Carlos Sousa and Quinta do Côro – were visited, showcasing local wines, production methods and regional heritage as part of the EU‑funded HITTS project.
