ME by Meliá Opens Luxury Hotel in Lisbon's Marquês de Pombal District

The first ME by Meliá property in Portugal opened in August 2025 in Lisbon, occupying a 12‑storey building near Praça Marquês de Pombal and Avenida da Liberdade. The hotel offers 213 rooms, a rooftop pool with city views, a spa, a gym, and two restaurants serving Spanish and pan‑Asian cuisine.

The lobby features a six‑metre high ceiling acting as a contemporary gallery, displaying works by Portuguese artists, including a suspended installation by Joana Astolfi inspired by a travel suitcase. Artistic touches continue throughout the rooms, which showcase large windows, neutral décor with lilac accents, and curated art books.

Guests receive premium amenities such as Bigelow Apothecaries toiletries, and staff provide complimentary snacks and sunscreen at the rooftop pool, emphasizing a blend of luxury hospitality and cultural experience.
