Measles outbreaks spread in Pennsylvania and Wyoming as cases rise

Pennsylvania health officials report a statewide measles outbreak with 84 confirmed cases, the majority in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. The Department of Health has launched pop‑up vaccination clinics, administered more than 1,300 MMR doses, trained over 1,000 health workers, and expanded public‑health monitoring, including contact tracing and plans to make school‑level vaccination data public.

In Wyoming, a second adult case of measles was confirmed in Teton County, marking the state's second case this year. Health officials identified potential exposure sites at Colter Bay Village, a convenience store in Grand Teton National Park and a Target store in Jackson, and urged residents to watch for symptoms for 21 days and avoid crowded settings. The department emphasized the safety and effectiveness of the MMR vaccine and recommended up‑to‑date vaccinations for all residents.
