Meat sales in Cyprus drop 70% amid rising costs

Butchers in Cyprus report a 70% decline in meat sales over the last five years due to rising costs and diminishing consumer purchasing power. Butchers noted that customers are increasingly unable to afford meat, often requesting bones instead. Some vendors expressed frustration with the UBP-DP-YDP government, criticizing the lack of action to address rising food costs and the economic pressures facing citizens.
