The Mega Exposición del Centro Argentino (MECA26) hosted two major regional competitions at the Sociedad Rural de Villa María, highlighting agricultural excellence and education.
In the dairy sector, the fourth edition of the 'La Jura a Campo de Vacas Lecheras' competition evaluated the genetic and productive quality of herds from Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, and Córdoba. A dairy farm from Entre Ríos was crowned the winner, with Santa Fe and Córdoba following in the rankings. The competition involved 24 dairy farms and approximately 400 animals, with judges evaluating traits such as mammary systems and structural correctness.
Simultaneously, the 'Mario Bragachini' Bioenergy and Value-Added Olympiad brought together 15 secondary schools from Córdoba. The IPEA 222 Agrónomo Américo Milani from San Francisco won the championship after a tie-breaking round, earning a 2 million peso prize. The IPEM 401 from La Palestina secured second place, receiving 1 million pesos.
