Meccha Chameleon adds Egypt map and HIKAKIN collaboration update

The indie multiplayer hide‑and‑seek game Meccha Chameleon released two consecutive updates in mid‑July 2026. On July 12, version 2.7.0 introduced an official "Egypt" map featuring ancient‑themed locales, added a toggle for including each map in random‑map selection, and added random elements to the "Penguin Hotel" map while fixing several issues such as wall‑stuck bugs in the previously added "HIKAKIN Museum" map. The update also continued the game's rapid post‑launch support.

The prior day’s version 2.6.0 added a special collaboration map titled "HIKAKIN Museum", showcasing images and items from the YouTuber HIKAKIN’s early videos through his "ONICHA" era. This patch also introduced controller testing, expanded regional tags for Japan, Korea and East Asia, corrected a hit‑box visibility bug, and widened the hunter’s field of view from 100° to 105°. Meccha Chameleon remains available on PC via Steam for ¥790, supports GeForce NOW, and has sold 15 million copies since its launch.
