Meccha Chameleon gets major updates and warns of fake social media accounts

The Japanese hide‑and‑seek game Meccha Chameleon, distributed on Steam for PC, released update 2.1.0 on June 27. The patch adds a total discovery count display, reworks the official "Backrooms" map, shows lobby participant numbers, introduces UI improvements, fixes several bugs, and brings GeForce NOW support for cloud gaming.

Shortly after, developer Remoleon posted a warning about unofficial social‑media accounts impersonating the game’s official channels. The same announcement detailed update 2.2.0, which introduces randomised elements to map interiors beginning with the "Hide‑and‑Seek Mansion" map and slated for all maps, adds new size options for the character "Cube", and includes further bug fixes.
