Meccha Chameleon hits 10 million copies sold worldwide

Indie multiplayer game Meccha Chameleon has sold more than 10 million copies globally, reaching the milestone just 16 days after its PC launch on Steam in early June 2026. The title achieved 5 million sales within the first ten days and doubled that figure in less than a week, prompting analysts to label it one of the year’s biggest sales successes.

Developed by the independent team Lemorion_1224 and Haganeiro, the game recorded a peak of over 340,000 concurrent players on Steam. Its simple yet creative hide‑and‑seek mechanics, where players camouflage by painting their avatars to match surrounding textures, have driven massive engagement on streaming platforms and social media. The game runs on low‑to‑mid‑range PC hardware and is priced at $5.99, factors that have helped expand its audience.

The developers have announced plans to bring Meccha Chameleon to consoles later this year and continue adding community‑created maps via Steam Workshop, aiming to sustain the large and active player base.
