Meccha Chameleon reaches 1 million sales on Steam

Indie developer Lemorion’s multiplayer hide‑and‑seek game “Meccha Chameleon” was released on Steam on 10 June 2026 and hit the 1 million‑copy sales mark within four days (the developer later clarified the total was about 1.1 million). The title quickly rose to #1 on Japan’s Steam sales chart and #2 globally, and recorded a peak of 95,000 concurrent players.

A new map titled “Penguin Hotel” and additional hide‑poses were added on 13 June, followed by update 1.2.1 on 14 June, which introduced a friend‑invite function, an optional “missed‑ranking” display for hunters, font changes and various bug fixes. A 20 % launch‑sale pricing of ¥632 (original ¥790) ran until 17 June.
