Mecha Chameleon adds new character and eyes 8th Exit collaboration
Indie developer Lemorion announced on July 28 a possible collaboration between the popular hide‑and‑seek game Mecha Chameleon and the walking‑simulation title 8th Exit. The post hinted at a “don’t miss the chameleon” twist on 8th Exit’s rule “don’t miss the anomaly” and featured a visual homage to 8th Exit’s key art, suggesting a new map or other shared content may be added.
On July 26 the developer released version 3.3.0 of Mecha Chameleon on Steam, introducing a new playable character called “Fukuyoka,” which offers a larger canvas for players to paint their camouflage. The same update also added twelve new emotes from the preceding 3.2.0 patch. Recent issues involving malicious mods and a compromised Discord server were reported as resolved. The game is currently on a 15 % discount sale until August 3, priced at ¥671.
