Mecha Chameleon introduces new 'Reverse Chicken Race' mode on Steam
Indie developer Lemorion released update 2.4.0 for the PC (Steam) game Mecha Chameleon on July 3, 2026. The patch adds a new competitive mode called "Reverse Chicken Race," where hidden players first expose their body‑paint camouflage and pose, then hunters must deduce the hiding spot and score points by being the first to locate the opponent. Points are awarded for quick discoveries or for avoiding hits, rewarding players who can blend effectively.
The update also includes previous enhancements from version 2.3.2, such as an on‑the‑spot rotation feature, fixes for camera and map bugs, and server‑side improvements. Since its launch less than a month ago, Mecha Chameleon has sold over 10 million copies, indicating strong popularity among stealth‑hiding game fans.
