A mechanic was shot and killed while working at an auto repair shop in Castanhal, Pará, on Tuesday morning. The victim, identified as Funck Wallace Bulcem Guedes, was working on a customer's vehicle when gunmen opened fire.
During the attack, a second employee was struck in the leg by a stray bullet. The worker was taken to a hospital and has since been released.
Military police officers, who were refueling a vehicle at a nearby gas station at the time of the shooting, reported seeing two suspects fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. Although the victim was armed with a .38 caliber revolver, he was unable to defend himself. The Civil Police are investigating the incident, though a motive has not yet been established.
